The Book of Leviticus 

Overview

- What: The Law
-When:Around 1440 BC
-Where: Mount Sinai
-Why:Continuing the Law, started in Exodus through Deuteronomy, God gives the Israelites instruction in dealing with their sin with numerous offerings, and how neighbors can be reconciled to one another. However, because of the offerings, the amount of offerings will never be pleasing to God, until there is a perfect offering (Jesus)

9:4-5 = God appears before them
9:23-24 = God appears before the people
