The Book of 1 Peter 

Overview
- Author:  Apostle Peter  
- What: Apostle Peter’s letter to Christians at the time and present day
-When: 62-63 AD
-Where:  Rome
-Why: Jesus said in John 13:16 that the servant is not greater than the master. The same way Jesus was treated, we should expect to be treated. If people didn’t respect Jesus, if people hated Jesus, if people were in uproar about the word of Jesus (people still are today), we should expect the same treatment people gave Jesus then, today. To not expect it is foolishness since Jesus literally said we would be treated the same way.
