66:18 = “I am about to come” although the book of Isaiah was written around 740-681 Before Christ, remember 2 Peter 3:8 says, “With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day” so even though this seems like a long time to us, remember that God has existed forever, so His timeframe is way more complex than ours and we don’t understand because 1. We’re mortals 2. We live less than 105 years

Relevant History + Science:
40:22

Notes
  • Every time you see the title the LORD Almighty, the Lord also encompasses that title (22:5, 12, 15)
  • 31:1 there is a clear distinction between the titles here, the or gives this away. They will neither call on the Holy One of Israel (Jesus) or seek the LORD (Father). Similarly, 34:6 says that his Spirit will gather them together… why wouldn’t the Father (Hashem) just do it? Why wouldn’t the Lord (Adonai(Jesus)) just do it? Different roles because they are different persons, but they are one (Ehad).
