-Why: God promises David’s house as the lineage for the coming Messiah, Jesus, as His throne is to be established forever.

23:2 = Spirit of the LORD
24:16= the angel of the LORD (Jesus) is afflicting Jerusalem, whom we already established is Jesus because God’s name is in Him (Exodus 23:20-21)... and yet here the LORD tells the angel of the LORD to withdraw His hand… who: the Father, as a Father would instruct His Son.
