The Book of Acts
Overview
- Author: Luke the Physician, travel companion of the apostle Paul
- What: Luke’s second account is addressed to a man named Theophilus, as was his gospel. Acts is centered on the account of the first body of believers in Jesus. It is essentially how the first church worshiped, prayed, and ministered to others with the addition of the opposition the church faced early on.
-When: 62 AD
-Where: Rome
-Why: Luke wanted certainty for what he had been taught. As confirmation, there was no opposing view of what he was taught.

Notes
- 3:6 Peter had the ability to walk, a God-given ability and so he gives also to the man through God
- 9:2 the “Way”, the original name for Christianity… was considered a Jewish sect in and of itself based on faith in Jesus
- 9:34
- 12:12 John Mark
- 19:35 Artemis (a Greek goddess), spoken from the mouth of one who worships her, stated that the goddess fell from heaven… interesting, considering Satan fell from heaven like lightening, and his angels were also thrown onto the earth, verifying fallen angels are in fact worshipped.
- 27:14
